“HTP58's are a part of our "Clone Series" pickups.

These are a faithful re-creation of a very special 1958 LP’s pickups, given its name “Hank the Plank” by Joe Bonamassa.

The story on this guitar is that it was first known to be owned by a gospel group in Ohio. Down the road, it got into the hands of Ed King (Lynyrd Skynyrd / Strawberry Alarm Clock). Later on, it made its way to Hank Williams Jr., before finally finding a home with Greg Martin (Kentucky Headhunters).

These pickups are known for their ability to achieve vintage woody neck tones and Tele-Esque bridge tones. With a slight tone knob adjustment, they can flawlessly nail the woman tone.

A perfect example of vintage LP tone at its best.

Specs: Clone series / Neck-8.3k (aged A3) / Bridge 7.58k (aged A4) / nickel covers/ Unpotted / Braided 2 conductor lead

Life Is Too Short For Bad Tone!!

How can I not love these pickups?! These are great replicas of the exact PAF pickups in my beloved 1958 Les Paul “Hank The Plank.” I love these pickups because they’re great pickups and stand alone on their own merit.

Around 2020, Sherman and I met at a studio in Louisville to do detailed measurements and inspect my 1958 pups.It didn’t take Sherman no time, he brought a set for me to try in one of my reissue Les Paul’s, he nailed it!

Life is too short for bad tone, thank you Sherman!

    Killer

I have two sets of these pickups. They sound amazing and work in multiple contexts. Highly recommend.
