Indiana Rocks is the brainchild of Barry Welsh. He and his cohort Mel (Melvis) Cupp have been trying to fill the void created by the fact that Indiana is one of the few states that doesn't have a Music Hall of Fame. They have been trying to shed light on musicians via the popular "Indiana Rocks" podcast where they feature mostly (but not solely) Indiana based musicians that have made an impact on the Indy music scene. They decided to celebrate the progress of their efforts thus far by hosting a concert at the legendary Vogue Theater in Indianapolis. The show was filled with local legends, up-and-comers, and performers who are and have been influential to this home-grown music scene we all love. Wouldn't you know
it, several of the musicians on hand were sporting Stocktone Pickups. One of the bands "Rocket Sauce" had Stocktones in every instrument. Josh Ellison (Bass) was thumping on the VJB's, Waylon Thompson (guitar) was giving the Sugarbrowns a workout and yours truly was using the DA5759's. Magic was in the air and every act was firing on all cylinders. Barry and Melvis sure know how to throw a party!
